While we’re clinging on to the last vestiges of summer, as the season shifts to autumn we’re looking forward to wrapping up and pulling our boots on before heading out for some fantastic fresh Norfolk coastal air.
There’s something magical about the light at this time of year, and of course as the migratory birds start their fantastic sky dances there are some amazing sights to be spotted.
Late last year we mapped a route that we’ve long enjoyed as it offers the perfect blend of coast, country and – as it starts and ends at The Lodge –, modesty aside, the best self-reward food and drink in North Norfolk. This nine-mile walk, or 11-miles if you’re feeling extra energetic, takes you up to Holme, drops down to Ringstead and then loops back to our front door.
We were delighted when Olive magazine and Country Living magazine featured our walk as one of the UK’s best, so take our advice and theirs and enjoy a day out on us!
