It’s a dog’s life at The Lodge

We LOVE our dogs – well, we are in Norfolk, after all, but we also love our guests’ dogs too and so we thought we’d share this fantastic montage of shots from some of the pooches and their humans who have visited us in recent weeks.

As you can see, they are welcome in the bar, garden and our dog-friendly rooms. There’s always something delicious to munch on and a drink on offer, plus a cosy blanket for those staying overnight.

What makes it heartening is some of the guests’ comments and TripAdvisor comments that we’ve received about our dog-friendly welcome. Here’s what just a few recent visitors have said:

‘Stayed here for a few days with our large, hairy dog. We ended up eating here each evening as the food was very good and the atmosphere was very welcoming – they even had a dog food menu,’ Jane M, Hythe

‘Our room, the Coal Bunker, was perfect. We had a big comfortable bed and the dog was provided with his own blanket. The bathroom was fantastic with a Jacuzzi bath, large walk-in shower and big, thick fluffy towels. We enjoyed our evening meal in the bar, good pub-style food. We had a great table set up in the bar for breakfast so that we could have our dog with us. The breakfast buffet choices were extensive and the full English was excellent. The hotel has a lovely friendly feel to it. So much less pretentious than many other establishments along this coast,’ Jill S, Norfolk

‘We spent two nights at The Lodge in June with our two dogs, and we were both surprised, firstly with the really warm welcome and the dog friendly room we had in the courtyard was fantastic, as most dog friendly rooms are very basic, but this was more like a boutique hotel. Dinner was a delight, although busy, the staff were very attentive and made a fuss of our doggies, the food was served very quickly, and everything we ate was beautifully cooked. Breakfast was also a pleasure, our dogs’ food was kept in a fridge for us and anytime we needed access to it there was no fuss or waiting,’ Susan S, St Ives

So, if you and your four-legged pal are looking for some quality downtime, head on over to The Lodge and join us!
