Don’t miss Hunstanton’s summer events

The Lodge Old Hunstanton, recently awarded a TripAdvisor Excellence Award and a runner up in the Mayor’s Business Awards, is lending its support to this year’s Old Hunstanton Flower Festival  on 15-17 August and the Hunstanton Kite Festival, which takes place on Sunday 17 August.

The Old Hunstanton Flower Festival, which takes place at St Mary’s Church and has been held for more than 40 years, will this year follow a literary theme with displays based on, ‘My Favourite Book’. The festival includes live jazz music on the Friday evening, a performance by the Nelson’s Shantymen on Saturday night and the Hunstanton Concert Band on Sunday.

The Hunstanton Kite Festival is organised annually by the Hunstanton & District Rotary in association with RNLI. The event has raised more than £130,000 since its inception, and in 2014 celebrates its 18th year. A keenly supported community event, this year’s show is set to feature members of the Kite Flyers club, classic car owners plus a flypast of a Dakota (subject to weather conditions).
