Five festive Norfolk Christmas fairs

’tis the season to be shopping – it’s got to be done, so why not keep it local and treat them to Norfolk native gifts this Christmas. Here are five fab Christmas events to put in the diary.

1. Sandringham Christmas Craft Food and Gift Fair, 10am – 5pm Friday 17 – Sunday 19 November
Stalls, demonstrations and gifts galore are on show at Sandringham, with Father Christmas in attendance too. Ideal for all the family, tickets are priced £7 for adults, £2 children and under 5s go for free. A magical time awaits at the Queen’s estate.

2. Glebe House School Christmas Boutique, 10am – 5pm Friday 2 December
Superbly stylish, this school event brings together a range of local artisan producers, crafts and retailers in a boutique environment. Don’t miss the grand raffle with some superb prizes to be won before heading to The Lodge just up the road to recharge on mid-morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea.

3. Pensthorpe Christmas Craft Market, 10am – 4pm Sunday 26 November
Now here’s a treat for those who love to shop… and those who don’t! Head to the nature reserve where there will be stalls and carol singers in the courtyard, while those who prefer can wander off and enjoy nature’s seasonal display.

4. Deepdale Christmas Market, 10am – 5pm Friday 1 – Sunday 3 December
Delegate Market becomes a winter wonderland with more than 120 pop-up stalls with crafts, clothing and gifts galore. Make a day of it and then head to Briarfields afterwards for a warm-up and something good to eat and drink.

5. Holkham Festive Food Fair, 10am – 5pm Saturday 16 – Sunday 17 December
Head to the Lady Elizabeth Wing on the Holkham Estate to enjoy a foodie haven of produce and Christmas gift ideas for those who love good food and drink. With live music and cookery demonstrations, it’s the perfect way to start the holiday celebrations.
