Congratulations to Briarfields’ sous chef Oliver Boddy who competed at the finals of the Local Food Challenge at the North Norfolk Food & Drink Festival on 2 September. While he was pipped at the post in a closely-fought final, we are super proud of Oliver who competed in the £40 budget, 45-minute cook-off. The judges described his work as ‘exceptional’ and the final was so close Oliver has been invited to join the winner on a trip to London.

It is with great sadness that we announce the temporary closure of our hotels.
Our policy has been, and will remain, to follow the latest Government guidelines and requirements connected with the current coronavirus. As instructed by the Government, Briarfields and The Lodge closed to customers on Saturday 21st March 2020 and will remain closed until further notice from the Government.
For customers with queries regarding future bookings, we will work with you to rearrange bookings once we know we are able to reopen. You can still book online for bookings from 4th July 2020 onwards when we are hopefully open for business once again.
