Unmissable Sushi This Autumn

Briarfields’ Sushi and Oysters Night has proved such a hit with regular diners along the coast, that we’ve decided to extend its appearance on our menu this autumn. Our Local Hero

Congratulations to Briarfields’ sous chef Oliver Boddy who competed at the finals of the Local Food Challenge at the North Norfolk Food & Drink Festival on 2 September. While he was pipped at the post in a closely-fought final, we are super proud of Oliver who competed in the £40 budget, 45-minute cook-off. The judges described his work as ‘exceptional’ and the final was so close Oliver has been invited to join the winner on a trip…

Quadrathlete Enjoys R’n’R at Briarfields

Philippa Rudd, a Quadrathlete who took part in the Norfolk Superhero Challenge, who participated in the event this year completing a one mile swim from Gun Hill to Burnham Overy Staithe, a four mile kayak, 45 mile cycle ride and eight mile cross country run, was one of 39 entrants to the r’n’r competition. “This year, I took part in the challenge with my partner Mark Philo, who will join me to enjoy the break at Briarfields. Lambing Season at Snettisham Park Farm, Norfolk

At Snettisham Park Farm from the beginning of March you can visit the lambing barn and see lambs being born, ewes tending their young, and help your kids bottle feed an orphan lamb. Children can also see other farmyard animals, such as goats, pigs, sheep and chickens, and have fun either riding the toy tractors or in the adventure playground for 7 to 14-year-olds.
